Acceptable Use Policy
Version 2026-10-25-draft-2
Draft, pending attorney review. This document will change before Quoteline sends any real texts.
This policy lists what Agencies may not do with Quoteline. Breaking it can lead to immediate suspension, and Quoteline may report illegal activity.
Not allowed
- Messaging anyone without prior express written consent that names your Agency.
- Uploading shared, aged, resold or purchased lists unless each person gave consent naming your Agency.
- Using consent obtained on behalf of "marketing partners" or other third parties.
- Messaging people who opted out, or numbers on the National or a state Do Not Call list without a valid exemption.
- Messaging people under 18.
- Messaging outside the allowed hours for the recipient's state, or in states Quoteline hasn't enabled.
- Rotating phone numbers, using multiple numbers, or altering content to avoid carrier filters ("snowshoeing").
- Hiding or misstating who is sending, or leaving out your Agency's name or opt-out instructions in a first message.
- Content that is misleading, deceptive, unlawful, hateful, sexual, or about prohibited topics under carrier rules (including cannabis, firearms sales, high-risk lending and debt relief).
- Generating phone numbers randomly or sequentially, or texting numbers you didn't collect.
- Asking Quoteline staff to send or launch campaigns for you.
- Giving false information during number verification.
Monitoring
Quoteline watches opt-out, complaint and wrong-number rates, and may pause sending automatically while we review an account. We may ask for consent records for a sample of your contacts at any time.
