This policy explains how Quoteline LLC handles information. It covers two groups: Agency users (people who sign in to Quoteline) and contacts (people an Agency texts through Quoteline).
We collect your name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), your Agency's business details (legal name, EIN, address, website, phone), and records of what you do in the app, including IP address and browser for sign-ins and acceptances. We use it to run your account, verify your phone number with Twilio, keep the audit log, provide support, and meet legal obligations.
Agencies upload contact details (name, phone, state) and consent records, and Quoteline stores the messages exchanged. For this data, the Agency is in charge and Quoteline processes it only to provide the service on the Agency's instructions. If you received a text through Quoteline, the Agency that texted you is responsible for it. Contact them, or reply STOP to stop messages from that Agency.
Quoteline never sells personal information, never shares it with other agencies, and never shares mobile numbers or opt-in consent with third parties for their marketing. Opt-in data and consent are not transferred to anyone.
We use providers to run Quoteline: Twilio (text messaging), Render (hosting and database), an email delivery provider, and Stripe (payments, when billing starts). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
The audit log, including send decisions and opt-outs, is kept for at least 5 years as a compliance record. Opt-outs are kept permanently so they're always honored. Other data is kept while the Agency's account is active, and deleted or returned on request when it closes, except where the law requires us to keep it.
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited by role, and each Agency can only see its own data.
